Started in 2023, Blue Bayou Smokers is based in Dixie, LA. If that sounds familiar, that’s because the owner of Blue Bayou Smokers is Chase Lummus, the original General Manager/Shop Foreman for Backwoods Smokers. Chase wanted to ensure that the legacy he had begun with Mike McGowan building insulated cabinet smokers continued with a high-quality unit built in the USA. Currently offering (3) sizes – the Party Krewe, the Cou-Yon Gator, and the Big Cajun.
These hand-built units differ a bit from the original Backwoods with smart upgrades like Post Hinges vs. Piano Hinges, Laser-Cut Heavy-Duty Racks, and a high-temp, durable Powder-Coating finish.
