We are looking for at least 20 teams to participate in our Holiday Wing Thing Competition. The Wing Thing will be a people’s choice competition and wings will be judged by the people!

In addition to great cash prizes and awards for the best tasting wings, teams will also earn cash prizes and awards on the overall wing experience. For example, did you “sell” your wings to the crowd? Did you decorate your area or make it pop to get folks excited about your team? Hot or not hot, sweet, sour, vinegar, Old Bay, sauced or not sauced, fried, grilled, smoked, or baked, it’s up to you. Raising Money for Charity

All proceeds from the event will go to the Greencastle Exchange Club. They will use the money raised from this event to purchase and distribute gifts to underprivileged children in our local area. We hope you'll join us in this fun event to support a great cause!

Cost of Entry

The cost per entry for teams is either $75 (and we include 20 pounds of wings) or $50 (and you provide wings). With 20 pounds of wings for only an additional $25.00, we don't think you'll find a better price on wings, but maybe you will!

Want to Attend Without Cooking? 

This competition is part of an exciting event you won't want to miss—the annual open house at our Greencastle location! Bring your family and sample wings, help raise money for charity, and enjoy all of the Holiday Open House festivities! No registration required.

The Rules

  • This is a rain or shine event.
  • Each team is allowed up to four people.
  • We will provide an 8’x8’ space (or larger), food safety gloves, chafing dishes and fuel, serving dishes, water, ice, and clean-up stations. Limited electricity will be available.
  • Tables may be available on request.
  • All other items needed, such as chairs, spices, cooking utensils, coolers, grills, and fryers are the responsibility of your team.
  • Wings must be ready by 10:30 am sharp.
  • Wings can be cooked on-site or you can bring them to the competition—it’s up to you!
